When my daughter was 2 years old, she sat up in the middle of the night and said “Mommy, Satan by the door” while pointing at the door. She was 2. She had very little vocabulary and had never been read Bible stories. We stayed up all night watching Teletubbies, because I didn’t want to go back to the room. I was freaked out. I managed to get hold of her dad in the morning (we had split up 6 months prior) and he told me he was 'concerned' because he had dedicated his firstborn to the devil when he was practicing demonology. (Backstory – I didn’t know any of this about him, and the reason we broke up was because he was controlling, manipulative, on drugs, cheating and abusive in all manners. I only knew him 3 months when I fell pregnant) It was then that I chose to dedicate my firstborn to God and let’s see who wins. I wasn’t religious or spiritual, but the dark forces were real. When he left I suddenly had army ants all over my house, they covered my walls and even were printed in the paper on my fax machine. I had massive spiders that came out of nowhere. Even if you don’t believe in it, black magic does happen and it affects you. This is how my battle between light and dark began, which was 24 years ago. And this was part of my spiritual warrior journey. They say it’s not what happens to you that counts, it’s what you do with it. Do you choose to stay a victim, or do you choose to make it your strength? Unfortunately, some people are never able to heal properly, or get over situations that hurt them. But there are those that do, and they become great leaders and healers. At the end of the day, the choice is yours. The Hero’s Journey The hero’s journey is the key ingredient in most successful Hollywood movies. It’s actually a tale consisting of two stories. In the first story, the prince sets out to save the princess, and along the way he encounters obstacles. He must slay the dragon in order to get to her. The second story is way more powerful and it’s who he becomes along the way. It doesn’t even matter whether he rescues the princess, because he is finding himself and his strength through adversity. As humans, we tend to coast along in life, and it’s only when something bad happens that we are forced to wake up and do something about it. Sometimes we wait until it gets so bad that we finally have to do something, because we can't go any lower. And that point is different for everyone. For some people it’s losing someone dear to them, for others it’s when a partner becomes physically abusive, you never know what your bottom line is until it happens. Why do we have to wait until it happens though? It’s because we keep thinking and hoping that something will change. Maybe your spouse was having a bad day, and if you loved him enough then he would get better. Maybe you blame the doctors for a loved one passing away due to their negligence. Either way, you're hoping for someone or something outside of you to fix it or change. It’s only when you realize they’re not going to that you decide to finally take responsibility for your life. When you start to do that, you realize that you are responsible for everything in your life. What happened to you was not your fault, but you are responsible for how you deal with it. You can't outsource important aspects of your life. You can't outsource your money. You can't outsource your career. You can't outsource your health. You can't outsource your happiness. As soon as you do any of these, you are at the mercy of others. If you didn’t take responsibility for your financial situation, and the person providing for you leaves, you have a problem. If you don’t take care of your health, and you get heart problems, etc, you have the problem. And so on. What has spiritual warrior journey got to do with you? We are all on a journey to finding ourselves. Some people are further down the road, and others are just starting out. There is no end to the road, it’s all about the journey. And it’s all about the unfolding of life and how you choose to experience it. Sometimes you encounter obstacles along the way, and sometimes you need direction to steer you on a path that is right for you. Taking the wrong path will ultimately still lead you to where you want to be, but it can cost you a lot of time, pain and heartache. They say that when the student is ready, the teacher appears. We all need guidance from those who have walked the path before us. It’s up to us to seek out the teacher. From that day over 24 years ago, I found my path. I didn’t know it then, but it was signalling me in the direction that I took. I became an avid learner of metaphysics and the realm spiritual growth, self-mastery and self-healing.
I've helped many people to heal deep wounds, find self-belief, experience inner peace and create a space where they are masters of their destiny, rather than victims of their circumstance. We are at a time in history where the battle between light and dark is now in our faces. I am a force to be reckoned with, and if you're reading this, then you are too. But you cannot be a soldier if you are not trained. You need to know yourself, and still be an eternal student. It starts with realizing you are not your past. You are not your labels. If you want to master your true power, you need to overcome your past and your limitations through facing them head on. That is the spiritual warrior path. Thank you for reading. I am honoured to share my journey with you. Natasha "Spiritual Warrior" Williams
